How can I blend a traditional wedding with a hand fasting?
We want to have an outdoor wedding, something light and pretty. We are both pagan, but like the idea of full wedding gown and tux. I may not have a wedding party (bridesmaids and groomsmen) because we want a very small and intimate ceremony and don’t want half the guests in the wedding party.
We both would like to do something special and unique for the ceremony, and would like our christian friends and family to be comfortable at our hand fasting. I would love any ideas! **Please no judgments on religion, I respect that everyone has different beliefs and I don’t believe passing judgment is OK in any religion.

That’s pretty easy to do, actually. You know when people usually light the unity candle? Just do it then instead of using the candle. When the officiant introduces the handfasting ceremony, have him tell the guests that it is an ancient Pagan (or Celtic to make the Christians comfortable) ceremony that unites the two people in love for eternity (or something along those lines). And then just do it!
