Church Weddings

Since many weddings are done in church, shouldn’t the church also be place where divorce is granted?
I don’t include weddings performed by judges, magistrates, mayors, etc.
First you need a license to get married and then any person licensed to perform marriages in your state can do so.
Every state in the U.S. requires a license to legalize marriage. You can’t get married without it. First you get the license and then you get married. After the ceremony, both spouses and the Officiant sign the marriage license (some states also require a witness). The Officiant will file for a certified copy of the marriage license and a marriage certificate. The marriage certificate is more of a keepsake.
In the RCC, they get involved in an annulment through the church offices but legally, once again, you need to go to the courts. Courts also grant divorce (I suppose a church could make even more money if that became a requirement as well but some churches like the RCC don’t recognize divorce, only annulment). It’s a good scheme in which churches can prey off the troubled even more. BTW, Marriage need not have a religious aspect.
