RANDOM wedding questions?
1) Where do the flower girls and ring bearer stand after the processional? or do they sit?
2) Would it look tacky that instead of having a grooms cake (it’s not in our tradition but we have a funny cake topper we want to use) make a cake out of cupcakes and give them out to the kids?
3) How long and when do you hold the “money” bag?
4)What do we eat for lunch? Food that won’t bloat me yet fill me up – my wedding will be at 7PM – hair and make up and pix will be going on WAY before that
5) What is your last song of the night?
6) Wedding guest book – we have a pic frame – do we have a picture in it or is it just empty with a nice pen for them to write in it?
it’s called a money bag but it’s just a bag for envelopes -
OK OK I know it’s tacky to ask for money – but that’s what my family gives (I’ve been to enough weddings to know what gifts are given) now – so i carry no “money bag” – where the hell do I hold all these envelopes?
1) It is up to you if the flower girl and ring bearer sit or stand, it depends on how old they are. Our flower girl was 4 and ring bearer 3, during rehearsal, they stood, during the wedding, the girl sat (she got shy) and the boy stood, it’s totally up to you, I’d just put their parents near the front incase.
2)If that’s what you want to do, many people are using cupcake cakes now.
3)We got a card box that is just a pretty box that it sat on the gift table. Everyone put their cards in there or their gifts on the table. This way, people don’t feel bad if they didn’t get you a certain thing. You can find these at many craft or wedding stores.
4)eat something light, you may be nervous and won’t want something heavy. Also, don’t eat anything that has a dark sauce, you don’t want to stain up your dress, even if pics are over. Have someone bring fruit & veggie trays & cheese & crackers or something.
5) Ours was December 1963 (Oh What a Night).
6) I would put a nice picture of the two of you in it, you can change it to a wedding picture after you get them back if you would prefer that. We used one of our engagement pics and had people sign the matte frame. Eventually, we may change it to one of our fav. wedding pics!
