indigenous traditions of marriage.?
Hi all just a part of Asia Mendha summer, I noticed some rituals, I wondering what was for or the symbol? the bride was sitting on a chair, dressed in yellow and green. people formed a line that came her and in that order preformed this ritual. 1) take the money made a circle around the head, 2) took a bit of henna paste and has rubbed by hand, 3) is immersed in oil and rubbed his hands in his hair 4 spouses) took a piece of fruit and give to the bride, 5) puts money in the 1st stage in a basket. im curious to know why this is not what is meant stale religious traditions and Action Thanksgiving? (^_^) X
Well, I'll do my best to answer your questions but you can get different answers if you ask someone else. My ancestors were from India, but I'm from the Caribbean, so I do things a little differently. 1. This is called an Aarti, which are given you His blessings and wishes him good luck. 2. These things are supposed to shine the skin and purify the future married or something. 3. It's your day so that you do, basically, spoiled, 2 and 3 are all traditional treatment for a girlfriend. 4. A Again, she is lucky, is a loving gesture. 5. The money is donated, either to help the bride to her new life, or to attend the wedding. You Aarti with money, or more traditionally with flowers.
