Tight budget wedding shower?
A former co-worker and friend I keep in touch with is getting married in 6 weeks. A close friend of mine is in her wedding party, but recently found out that know one is hosting a wedding shower for her. We feel bad and want to have something for her.
We are on a very tight budget, but want to make it very nice. We are needing a suggestions to help out. We’ve never planned a shower before.
I think a baked pasta dish would be good, and very affordable, with a salad and garlic rolls. We’d bake our own cake (i’m good at it). We’d get plates, cups and such at the dollar store and find nice but budget friendly decorations.
I dont know about prizes and games and what else wed need to do.
Thanks so much!
To be honest, the shower is mostly about giving her gifts and not about the food at all. Just get a sheet cake and make some finger sandwiches or grab some frozen appetizers at your local Sams Club or BJs. Make some chicken salad sandwiches and cucumber. Very simple food. Some punch and some cake. That can total run you about $50. Ask for who to send invites too so that might run you about $50 as well.
You don’t need decorations and the whatnot.
Then you just shower her with gifts.
