I’m so confused with my wedding invitations! What do I do?
I’m not sure how to address them. I bought a diy kit, which brought big envelopes for invitation and smaller response cards. I’ve been looking and it says to address the large one one way, and the smaller one another. For example My invites are formal Mr. and Mrs. John Smith. But I would like the Rsvp more personal, Uncle John and Aunt Mary. My question is where do I put that, cuz the Rsvp will have my address so it get’s back to me. Does this make any sense?
I had the same invitation issues and ended up not putting the informal name anywhere since the invitations didn’t have the 2nd envelope with them.
In the fancy ones, they typically have the main envelope with the formal names then another envelope that actually holds the invitation with the informal name on the outside. Then of course the rsvp envelope will have your name and address on it.
I figured it was more appropriate to be formal on the invitations then the other way around.
