vs. butter fudge?

For our wedding, we're going for a traditional layer cake separated by 4 square white, yellow, pink and white roses with pearl and ribbon design. My question is, if you want to go to the buttercream fondant. I'm not always very fond of fondant unless the cake is very detailed, but I like the good aspect of it. Also, if you have pictures of your own wedding cake or cakes you like, please post, I want to see alternative ideas. Thank you! Maybe I should add that we have consulted our cake designer and tested both. Both forms can and do fit into our budget, if it is a matter of choice. If it helps to imagine each layer has a different taste, the background is spicy, the next two are the white chocolate with raspberry and lemon filling and the top is red velvet. Thank you to all for the help!

I asked a similar question the other day! Most people said overeall butter was the way to go but I think there is a type of fondant flavored marshmallows. Something to think anyway … I'm going with buttercream. the taste is more important for me!
