Wedding Traditions in English?

I tried looking online and this is what I found: the mother has a large hat with a horseshoe to flower petals in the aisle all the way to church with bridesmaids sew a spell on the edge of the dress bridesmaids have charms between layers of cake w / tape Has anyone any other suggestions? All good places in London? Or traditions? Thank you!

I am English and I have never heard of most of them lol something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a sixpence in your shoe money. Yep, the big hat, it's true! (Big hat Tho are usually reserved for Ascott lol) Discard the bouquet, but the league is rarely done (Tho it is more fashionable) Rhyme traditional color of wedding dress: Married White, who has chosen well, married in blue, your love will always be true, were married in Pearl, goes live in a whirlwind, were married in Brown, will live in town, Married Net, we wish him dead, married in yellow, ashamed of her companion, were married in Green, ashamed to be seen, were married in pink, your spirit sinks, married in gray, go away, married in black, you to return. Limousines are rare, except in the city. They are not very practical in the small winding roads. Transportation is usually by Rolls Royce or a car period. There is no such thing as a shower. "Wedding gifts are brought to the receipt, or delivered directly couple before marriage. Gifts are generally not open until after the honeymoon, and thank you cards after their dispatch. The wedding cake is a rich fruit cake usually covered with marzipan and royal icing (white icing drive) You can continue for years, the top cake is called "baptism" to be rescued from the birth of first child. (How old fruitcake dates back to the days before the yeast and sugar.) Groom usually keep a tuxedo – that in a large formal wedding. Costumes are normal. The boyfriend has a sponsor, who also wears a costume. We Stag (matches) and nights hen, rather than the American "Buck"? Weddings are traditionally celebrated at noon, which then makes lunch or dinner invitation to a wedding in place. I heard the Americans have something called a dollar dance, not knowing what it is, but we do not have here. It seems in America, the couple feeding cake a little with each other, we do not do that here. The bride should not be seen by her future husband until she arrived at the church (or registration), and above all never try to see her wedding dress. She is "gifted" by her father or other male relative (an echo of the days had no influence on the field and left of his membership in his father belonging to her husband). The bridesmaids should all be one exception of a lady "of honor "(A marriage is optional, but it is usually not more than one). While the bridesmaids adults are generally friends of the bride, bridesmaids and any child pages are usually members of the family. Hope this helps!
