How to approach our wedding invitations if there is an inner envelope?

We have chosen our invitations, we love (outside which are 100% recycled paper that I like even more). What happens is they come with an inner envelope, which is good for me because it's less work is disappearing, but I'm not sure the label on the wording of the envelope Outdoor. Specifically, if I am invited one friend and a guest, I can write "Mr. John Doe and performance" in the envelope external or is it tacky? I make sure my friends know they can bring a guest. Besides, I can write the names of all children in the family or I can write "Mr. and Mrs. John Doe and family"? Suggestions?

I would say that in this case, the address of the envelope Outdoor accordingly. "Mr. John Doe and visits," "Mr. & Mrs. John Doe" or "The Perez Family", according to. It seems a bit strange you do not have the inner envelope, but I totally applaud their conservation efforts!
