Ignore previous answers and read this … I am not Mexican descent in Mexico, I am in Mexico … lol, were married in Mexico, I know how it works. Really what they are like weddings there since I just got married two years ago. Here's how it works: the wife or the groom's family: they pay for the wedding calendar (before a judge) and for the church ceremony. If the husband or his family wants a separate part of the civil ceremony, they may or simply pay for the judge to marry the same day in the place of receipt. The groom pays the bride's dress and veil. It can help pay the remaining clothes or clothing worn that day, but does not have a. The groom or his family pay for the honeymoon. Married or his family: They pay for the rest of the offers, invitations, reception, alcohol, food, flowers, decorations, music (DJ's are today, and much less expensive than live band), favors, wedding photos and video, etc. Today, you can arrange to share costs or make the traditional way. My marriage was in Mexico in the church of St. Augustine is an Intercontinental Hotel. I married a week before my parents-in- home before the judge, then had a small party. It is customary to marry in the hometown of the bride, but both may decide to marry everywhere and anywhere is close to you and your families.
