What is the usual rates for an organist / singer at a wedding or anniversary celebration?
What are the average rates of a church organist (that can also sing) at a special function, such as church Wedding or anniversary celebration (ceremony usually lasts 1 hour, with approximately 9-10 musical pieces), or a funeral. Also, are the rates usually different between religious denominations, eg: difference between catholics & protestants?
I have played for any number of weddings….I play…I DON’T sing. My usual fee is $150. The person who TEACHES me, however, gets $300-$375.
