Does anyone know of a good WEDDING dress tailor in the West Chester, PA (Philadelphia) area?
I am looking to buy a wedding dress on-line at www.bestbridalprices.com. The gown is much cheaper than in the store. I am just worried that if I buy it on-line I will not be able to find a tailor that can alter my dress. Does anyone know of a good wedding dress seamstress in the Philadelphia metro area (or even better West Chester, PA?) Any help PLEASE!!!
They don’t advertise the fact, but many stores (maybe most of them) will make alterations to what they call “customer goods.” They charge a bit more than for “store goods,” but you get the same service. So call Macy’s, Lord and Taylor, or any good store and ask for the seamstress. You will find something very quickly.
I don’t know for sure if the bridal specialty stores will also make alterations to customer goods (I’ve never had to ask) but you can call David’s Bridal or one of the other big ones and find out. I bet they’ll do it, too.
Worst come to worst, don’t tell HAVE to tell them you bought online. After all, it could just be your cousin’s dress that needs to be altered to fit you.
